Mohammad Yazied Arsad is originally from Singapore and has been taking photographs for some years. We have chosen a collection of his photographs that he has been working towards whilst traveling. He has recently been to Cambodia, Vietnam and Europe where his practice has developed depicting his surroundings with grace and detail. He takes a position that lends itself to an organic method of photography that opposes the digital innovations of recent times. His understanding of the traditional photographic techniques has given him an authentic foundation which deserves observance by the keenest of contextual and political photographers. We have been fortunate enough to work closely with him for the work that he has contributed for our display, and we feel that we have done his craftsmanship justification. The subjects he is interested in depicting, usually makes references towards a mixture of urban and natural scenes while an authenticity runs concisely through the work he sets off.
