Alan Brain is a contemporary painter that works exclusively with acrylic and watercolour on paper. His works shimmer with a new kind of comparison between abstraction and realism. Alan’s works uses a technique of flat colours that shade into each other and they usually evoke feelings of meditation and enter realms of time, place and travel.
Alan paints the environment by observing mysterious imaginations by gently working his way through imaginative places and real ones taking examples and influences of the forest, the desert scenes and smoothly watching over what he filters through his painting. The art that interests him speaks with a sensitivity fitting to be contextualised with other current themes and Alan’s subtle investigation is a proof of his keen eye of colour, shape and form.
